The creative exploration of femininity, as one of the central themes in Barbara works, led to the creation of the piece that anticipates the exhibition: the MW jacket, a call to celebrate the diversity of women from around the globe. "When I designed the jacket, I aimed to represent our multiplicity and our capacity to be whatever we desire through unique graphics developed specifically for it. Activism is also present here in the subtlety of the design language. The jacket is one of the pieces created as part of my exploration of the journey of women and the female body within society," she elaborates.

In appropriating the initials and the acronym MW as an aesthetic and graphic feature of the piece, the artist draws on words like woman, menstruation, menopause, maturity, mother, meets and woven, thus enhancing the creation of an imaginative vocabulary capable of engaging not only women but also the entire societal structure surrounding it.

The jacket is the result of the artist's creative process, which she views as firmly rooted in collaboration with communities and design, aimed at fostering a social technology that promotes cultural empowerment and health in environments that support women's development through architecture.

Crafted by hand from recycled organic cotton, sustainable materials, and intricate handmade embroidery, the piece consists of a limited collection of 100 units. This work invites contemplation on the role of clothing as an experimentation of femininity and as a means of sharing diverse symbols related to gender. The artist thus suggests that a feminine body should be adorned with its own experiences and journeys:

"Reduce trauma, amplify women's power, honor all that we confront. Create a garment that also expresses our voices. The role of art, in all its forms, is to stir emotions - this is what I propose with this creation," she concludes.
